                               RESOLUTION NO. 19675
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE TENNESSEE
                   DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE
                   CINCINNATI, NEW ORLEANS AND TEXAS PACIFIC
                   RAILWAY COMPANY, RELATIVE TO CONSTRUCTION
                   AND MAINTENANCE OF AN OVERHEAD BRIDGE
                   STRUCTURE AT McCALLIE AVENUE, PROJECT NO.
                   BR-STP-2(18), WHERE THE CITY SHALL RECEIVE
                   FROM THE CINCINNATI, NEW ORLEANS AND TEXAS
                   PACIFIC RAILWAY COMPANY THE AMOUNT OF ONE
                   MILLION, ONE HUNDRED NINETEEN THOUSAND, TWO
                   HUNDRED FORTY-NINE AND NO/100 DOLLARS
                   ($1,119,249.00) UPON THE COMPLETION OF THIS
                   PROJECT, WITH SAID FUNDS RECEIVED TO BE PAID
                   INTO THE GENERAL FUND.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to execute a Contract with the Tennessee Department of
       Transportation and the Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific
       Railway Company, relative to construction and maintenance of an
       overhead bridge structure, approaches and related drainage
       facilities and highway facilities, at McCallie Avenue, where the
       City shall receive $1,119,249.00 from the Cincinnati, New Orleans 

       and Texas Pacific Railway Company upon the completion of this
       project, with said funds received to be paid into the General
       Fund.
